Game 5 got physical, the apex being the dust-up between Tyler Hansbrough and 'Birdman' Chris Andersen. At the time, a Flagrant 1 foul was called on Birdman and both he and the Pacer affectionately known as 'Psycho T' were given technical fouls as well.
In real time many basketball fans wondered aloud what the NBA powers-that-be would have to say about the incident when it was inevitably reviewed. On Friday the League gave us its answer, rescinding the technical called on Hansbrough and upgrading the Flagrant 1 on Andersen to a Flagrant 2, meaning the Birdman will be grounded for Game 6 in Indy tonight while serving the mandated 1-game suspension.
Will the Pacers be able to take advantage of Andersen's absence and re-establish their dominance in rebounding? Or will less Birdman mean more minutes - and more timely shot-making - from Udonis Haslem for the Heat. Can the Pacers play at their pinnacle and push the series to a 7th game? All those questions will be answered tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, tip-off at 8:30.
